Scuba Diving & Snorkelling

The west coat of  Cork offers some of Europe's best scuba diving. The sea is warmed by the Gulf Stream and  has  an abundance of sub aqua flora and fauna. The visibility is 12 metres plus. The diving season usually runs from March to October.

Sea Kayaking

The Sheep's Head, Beara, Kerry and Dingle peninsulas offer stunning paddling For experienced paddlers . In rough weather you can paddle in the lee of one of the peninsulas. You could see seals, dolphin's, minke whale and sea otters when paddling off Beara. Bird Fanciers can  look out for Puffins and Chuffs off Dersey, and also wading birds and gannets further into Bantry Bay.

Lough HyneFor a trip with a difference, try night kayaking on Lough Hyne to hear magical noises of birds and fish and to see the bio luminescence caused by the phyto-plankton in Europe's only inland marine lake.
